This
Leader's Guide offers an overview of the material and programs
that are available to you in the series "God Is Calling." It also
includes the theological, pedagogical and catechetical underpinning of the series,
as well as practical help in introducing and facilitating the program in your
parish. There is a separate section for each of the programs in which the series
can be used, as well as alternative suggestions for each program.
The series "God Is Calling" is primarily intended to be an intergenerational
catechetical series. Its focus is centered on adults and teen faith development
as well as that of children. It can be used as a family series in the broadest
parochial sense of the word
family. It can also be used as a resource
for children and adolescents who are part of the catechumenate process. Finally,
the series is an excellent resource for families who are just returning to the
Church. It is a catch-up catechesis at its best. It allows young people to join
in the regular parish catechetical program while at home they listen to and
reflect on many of the stories that make up the foundation of what they are
learning at the parish. 151 pages.
