New DVD format

This DVD contains two programs for grade-school children introducing devotion and prayer to Mary, the mother of Jesus, with emphasis on our understanding of her life and our Catholic celebration of all things Marian:

We Learn From Mary: The Cloak of Many Colors An introduction to Mary as a girl, a woman, a mother, a disciple and a companion who hears and brings God's word to others. As her life unfolds, we are invited to place our own thanks, joy, sadness, trust, worries and faith on her cloak of many colors as she once did in her own life.

We Pray With Mary: The Cloak of Many Colors This program teaches children how to pray with Mary. Includes favorite Marian prayers such as: the Hail Mary, the rosary, a litany of Mary, the Angelus and the Magnificat. It also teaches about Mary's feast days in the liturgical calendar. Shrines, art, sculpture and songs speak with beauty and love of Mary in different world cultures.

This DVD also contains two programs for junior high and older viewers:

Our Lady of Guadalupe: A Story of Faith…and Liberation presents the inspiring story of Our Lady's 16th-century apparition to St. Juan Diego on the barren Tepeyac hill. The apparition, dressed as an Indian woman, had Indian features and spoke to Juan Diego in his own language, giving him a message for the bishop: "Build my church here." The bishop, hearing the message, doubted and asked for a sign. Three days later, Juan Diego returned, his arms full of roses gathered from the barren hill, his cloak imprinted with the lady's image. (This version contains reflection material that is not included in the Spanish-language version.)

Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe: The Spanish-language version of the inspiring story of Our Lady's 16th-century apparition to St. Juan Diego on the barren Tepeyac hill.
